When she wanted to swim just like the other girls, i felt so bad, i know how hard is that, being with people who can do whatever they want, and you can't. I didn't like it. Great actresses and actors but bad plotting. It doesn't looks like it's Netflix. Movie watch love wedding repeater. OK so this film isn't going to win any awards for originality but it isn't as bad as some claim here and elsewhere. Its 100 minutes of escapism at the time when pretty much the whole world needs it.
Rather than a meet cute like Four Weddings And A Funeral, this film explores the idea that what happens in a split second can change anything - whether a couple get together, whether a marriage survives, and for the most part the concept works.
The cast is pretty good, but given this is a relatively low budget British film there are no huge stars. Sam Claflin is the big name star as Jack, the one whose entire romantic life basically depends on what happens whilst he is at his sister Hayley's wedding in Italy. None of what happens in any of the random situations (caused by seats at a table in the wedding reception being arranged by naughty children) are entirely unpredictable, but the humour in the script and the decent mostly British cast keeps everything floating along nicely. The film mixes slapstick alongside the slightly awkward British comedy of manners etc.
I am a bit of a fan of romcoms, even if they're not brilliant. This one isn't brilliant, but it is mostly good fun, well scripted, and competently executed. Ideal afternoon fodder for when the weather is bad outside, or as we are now - stuck at home and in need of some sunny, funny entertainment.
